The Bug Buster comes with a countdown ballast for monitoring the life of your lamp. The countdown begins at 365 days. The remaining days are shown on the ballast display. You should check your quartz sleeve in the Bug Buster every time you change the UV lamp. The cleanliness of the sleeve will depend on the composition of the water passing through the UV. If there is residue buildup on the sleeve or the sleeve seems to lack clarity, it can be wiped with a microfiber cloth. If the residue persists, a new sleeve will be required.

The Bug Buster housings are warranted against defect for 5 years, the UV chamber for 5 years, the ballast for 2 years, and the quartz sleeve and lamp for 1 year. Warranties exclude any damage or problems arising from improper installation or any subsequent misuse, abuse, neglect or impact.
